His Excellency Salem Almoosa, who grew up in the Shindagah area of old Dubai, used his reminiscences to identify and recreate the old Dubai map. His sharp memory and expertise in community planning were exceptionally useful in identifying homes, native heritage and the valuable efforts of partners active in the preservation of local heritage.
The award was handed to His Excellency Salem Almoosa by Architectural Heritage Department of Dubai at their annual ceremony occurred on 21st May in Intercontinental at Festival City hotel.
The annual meet was attended by outstanding Dubai Municipality management personnel like Mohammed Abdul Karim Julfar, Assistant Director-General for institutional support of Dubai Municipality.
On this great initiative, Chairman and General Manager H.E. Salem Al Moosa says, “I am pleased to have received this award and will continue to support in heritage conservations, which will go a long way in serving the Emirati youth and expats who call Dubai their home. I am glad to have been part of this effort as protecting our cultural heritage is the duty of each individual not just the government.”
