Reflecting its commitment to facilitating the sharing of wisdom, knowledge and professional skills in the development of young women, Salem Ahmad Almoosa Enterprises (SAAE) – one of the UAE’s most prominent business conglomerates- organized a summer internship program for Emirati women in line with the Year of Zayed. The initiative aimed to refine the current set of skills possessed by the participants, while also helping them gain new skills that are essential for future professional development. The month-long workshop developed in cooperation with Awqaf hosted a total of 10 students.
SAAE has remained committed to recognizing and encouraging the talents and skills of young Emirati women who play significant roles in the nation’s growth and development. The initiative also complemented the directives to observe 2018 as the Year of Zayed building on the importance of constant development through continuous learning, which further underscores the group’s eagerness to support national initiatives and efforts that are aimed at strengthening the professional and organizational skills of the UAE youth. Awqaf’s association with SAAE to empower its students through the internship program reflects its trust and confidence in the company’s expertise and capabilities.
As part of the training program, which lasted from mid-July to mid-August, the participants were provided opportunities to experience the workplace environment firsthand at various departments of SAAE, including human resources, IT, legal, administration, customer service and Almoosa Owner’s Association Management Services Company. Participants learned about responsibilities, dedication and the way large organizations function, through hands-on experience within SAAE departments. Mr. Alharith Almoosa, Vice Chairman and Deputy General Manager, Falconcity of Wonders LLC, addressed participants in an inspiring speech, encouraging the young women to strive toward success and one day join the ranks of the top Arab women in the world. He emphasized the importance of following one’s passion and maintaining perseverance in attaining success.
He said: “We organized this training program with an aim to help young women prepare for a future in the workforce, encouraging them to explore their potential to the fullest. The values upheld by late Sheikh Zayed are extremely relevant in achieving growth and prosperity and the relentless support and guidance of our nation’s wise leadership have helped Emirati women soar to new heights with accomplishments in various fields. I consider it our privilege to be able to support Awqaf as part of our efforts to contribute to nurturing a younger generation that value the importance of education. “
